Årummet is a nature preserve located near Kristianstad central station, known for its rich biodiversity. The area is home to various bird species, including geese, ducks, and the brown harrier, making it a notable spot for birdwatching and wildlife observation. The preserve features a nature center called naturum Vattenriket, which serves as an educational resource for visitors interested in the local ecosystem.
The preserve includes two designated hiking trails: Linnérundan, which spans 6 kilometers, and Tivolirundan, which is 1.8 kilometers long. Tivolirundan is specifically designed to be accessible for individuals with disabilities. Visitors can enjoy scenic views along the Helgeå river and Tivoliparken, as well as observe unique plant species, such as gullstånds. Årummet promotes outdoor activities and nature exploration, providing a space for individuals and families to engage with the natural environment.
