Katolskt Gravområde is a 54-hectare cemetery located in the western part of Uppsala. It features a modern nature cemetery design that draws inspiration from the surrounding Uppland landscape. The cemetery is designed to provide a serene environment for remembrance and reflection, making it a place for visitors to pay their respects.
The site includes several notable features, such as a crematorium and chapel, which facilitate various memorial services. Additionally, it houses a bell tower known as Klockstapeln and a unique tree church, or Träd kyrkan. A scenic forest pond, referred to as Skogsdammen, adds to the tranquil atmosphere of the area. The cemetery also contains memorial sites, including Minnesplatsen, and is home to two chapels: Stefanskapellet and S:t Eriks kapell. These elements contribute to the cemetery's role as a place of remembrance within the community.
