Why

  1. According to Ordinance (2001:127) on summer time, summer time ends at 03:00 summer time on the last Sunday in October.
  2. According to timeanddate.com, the change in 2026 took place on Sunday 25 October, when clocks moved back from 3:00 am to 2:00 am.
  3. According to Visit Sweden, winter time in 2027 starts at 03:00 on Sunday 31 October.

Details

Winter time is Swedish standard time, one hour behind summer time. The last Sunday in March 2027 falls on 28 March, so that is when the clocks next go forward, at 02:00 standard time. The EU has not abolished the clock change, which is why the dates still follow the same rule.

Tip

Most phones and computers change the time by themselves, but check clocks that are set by hand, such as a wall clock or an oven clock.
