Norra kyrkogården is one of several cemeteries located in Umeå, Sweden, specifically situated at Sandbacka. The cemetery is part of a broader network that includes multiple burial sites in the region, such as Västra kyrkogården Väst, Backens kyrkogård, Röbäcks kyrkogård, and both the old and new Tavelsjö cemeteries. These sites serve as places of remembrance and reflection for the community.
In addition to its burial services, Norra kyrkogården provides cemetery expedition services, which assist visitors with inquiries and information related to the cemeteries. For those unable to visit in person, there are resources available that allow individuals to learn about Umeå's cemeteries from home. Notably, the cemeteries feature signature plants that contribute to their unique landscapes and enhance the overall atmosphere of these memorial spaces.
