Årstidernas Park is situated in the city center of Umeå and was established in 1897, following the devastating city fire of 1888. The park features a central fountain, which was originally constructed in 1920 and underwent renovation in 2003. A notable landmark within the park is the bust of Gustav II Adolf, commemorating the king who granted city privileges to Umeå.
In 2017, a major renovation of Årstidernas Park was completed, which included updated landscaping and seating arrangements. The park covers approximately 1,300 square meters and incorporates terraced grassy areas that lead down to the river. A modern design element includes a two-level wooden deck by the river, enhancing the park's accessibility and aesthetic appeal. Seasonal flower plantings, featuring spring bulbs and summer blooms, contribute to the park's vibrant atmosphere, while enhanced lighting provides a unique experience during the darker months.
