OKQ8 Bilpool is a car-sharing service located in Umeå, Sweden. This service provides an alternative to traditional car ownership by allowing users to rent vehicles on a short-term basis. The concept of car sharing aims to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, promote sustainable transportation, and offer flexibility for users who may not need a car on a daily basis.
The fleet typically includes a variety of vehicles to accommodate different needs, from compact cars to larger models. Users can access vehicles through a membership system, which often includes a mobile app or online platform for reservations. This service is part of a broader trend in urban areas to enhance mobility options and reduce environmental impact by encouraging shared use of vehicles.
