Short answer

An ordinary SL single ticket does not cover Uppsala: it is valid on the pendeltåg to Bålsta and Gnesta, while Uppsala needs a combined UL+SL ticket. On the SL commuter train between Uppsala and Stockholm the combined UL+SL tickets apply. UL's own tickets apply between Uppsala and Arlanda, and south of Arlanda you need an SL ticket.

Details

The combined tickets come as 150-minute, 24-hour and 30-day tickets, and period versions are bought in the app or loaded onto an SL card.
