Skogen is a performing arts group based in Göteborg that focuses on community engagement through gardening and environmental education. One of their key initiatives is the development of Färjenäs garden, which emphasizes the cultivation of wild plants and medicinal herbs. The group offers opportunities for collaborative gardening, encouraging members to participate in hands-on activities that promote biodiversity and sustainable practices.
In addition to gardening, Skogen provides workshops that teach participants how to cook with produce harvested from the garden. Members can also engage in study trips and gardening meetings, fostering a sense of community and shared learning. The organization facilitates a seed exchange and plant sharing program, allowing members to propagate plants and enhance their gardening experiences. An annual membership fee of 100 SEK grants access to these community-oriented activities and events, further promoting collaboration among members.
