Studentföreningen Lambda is the oldest student association in Kalmar, having been established in 1934. It is open to all students at the Sjöfartshögskolan, providing a platform for social interaction and collaboration among its members. The association plays a significant role in fostering a sense of community and networking among maritime students, facilitating connections that can be beneficial both academically and socially.
The organization hosts a variety of activities and events designed to engage its members. These include initiation events for new students, known as Nollning, which help integrate newcomers into the student community. Additionally, Studentföreningen Lambda utilizes social media to keep members informed and involved, promoting participation and support from the wider student body. Through its initiatives, the association aims to enhance the overall student experience at the Sjöfartshögskolan.
