Nordisk Gästateljé (Malongen) is an artist residency located in Stockholm that provides a Nordic Guest Studio for artists. The residency emphasizes decolonial ecologies in art and encourages innovative and experimental art practices. It supports collaborative projects, including those featuring artists such as Sheung Yiu and the duo Hagren/Bela, fostering an environment for artistic exchange and networking within the Nordic region.
The residency also places a significant focus on non-human perspectives, integrating these themes into its programs. An example of this engagement is the introduction of the Unqualifiedcomments event with Ella C Bernard, which reflects contemporary cultural discussions. Additionally, Nordisk Gästateljé has announced an open call for artists for the year 2026, inviting applications from those interested in participating in its initiatives.
