How to choose a shop: district first, opening hours second

The groups are arranged by district, because a bouquet is mostly bought on the way: close to home, to work or to the place it is going. In Vasastan the shops are on Odengatan, Sveavägen, Upplandsgatan and Norrtullsgatan. In the second group one shop is on Kåkbrinken in Gamla stan, the Old Town, one on Karlavägen on Östermalm and one on Norr Mälarstrand on Kungsholmen. South of Slussen two shops are on Södermalm and one is in Hammarby Sjöstad.
Opening hours differ more than you might think. Most of the shops close at 18:00 on weekdays and two stay open until 19:00. On Saturdays they close between 14:00 and 19:00. About half are closed on Sundays, but every group has at least one shop that is open on Sundays, and two shops in Vasastan are closed on Mondays (the catalogue cards and the shops' websites, October 2026).

Ordering and sending flowers: deadlines, courier and the right of withdrawal
- Same day: order in the morning, at one of the shops before 11:00.
- Courier fee: depends on the postcode and the delivery method.
- Right of withdrawal: does not cover flowers and plants under the terms of one of the web shops.
- Particular flowers: ask what is in stock before you order.
Flowers that have to arrive the same day need to be ordered early. One of the shops in Vasastan states that orders placed before 11:00 can be delivered the same day, and under the terms of its web shop orders received before 12:00 are processed the same day (the shop's website, October 2026). The courier fee depends on the recipient's postcode and on the delivery method, so the price of the bouquet is not the whole cost.
The right of withdrawal works differently for flowers than for other goods. The terms of the same web shop say that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not cover flowers, plants and other perishable goods. So check the recipient's address, the date and the message before you pay. The web shop takes payment cards, and business customers can be invoiced.
The selection changes from day to day. A shop in Gamla stan writes that flowers come in almost daily and asks customers to email or call before ordering to hear what is in stock. The bouquet can then be collected in the shop or delivered within the city.
Weddings, funerals, companies and courses

- Courses: a few shops run floristry workshops.
- Potted plants: sold by several shops alongside cut flowers.
Bridal bouquets and funeral floristry are separate orders. One of the shops in Vasastan lists bridal bouquets, funeral wreaths and decorations for receptions among its work, and also offers weekly flowers for companies and dried flowers (the shop's website and the catalogue card, October 2026). Contact the shop well ahead of the day.
Some shops do more than sell flowers. According to the catalogue cards, shops in Vasastan, on Östermalm and on Kungsholmen run workshops in tying bouquets and wreaths, and the shop on Östermalm also has a flower subscription. The shop on Kungsholmen has, according to its card, been in business since 1985 and sells both potted plants and cut flowers.
